"You're decently skilled like Shroud." Revnik said as the exchanged blows flowed like a song of metallic chinks and clangs. "It's sad you seem about as eloquent as him as well." He mocked Suit as he leaped over his head only to be caught by a block. "You could be so much more. You could rule the world with Nuada and me. Think of it the human race bowing to the new gods of this age. The Superhumans, the mutants, and the evolved."

"These humans have made you grow weak, brother." Nuada mocked as he clenched palm to palm with Cayden. "You used to be a god among men, and me without an heir you could have well been the next High King of Ulster."
"We have no place in this world as gods. The kings of old are dead, mo brathair." Cayden loosed his grip from one hand and decked Nuada along the jaw.
"Then why do you still fight for the swine...and why did you give up the lineage to that human Fionn." He returned with a backhand.
"I did not choose...you know as well as I do that the four legacies chose him over us. The age of mortals is now, and the age of gods is no more." Reaching high above his head he slammed the bottom of his fists on the top of Nuada's skull.
Returning with an uppercut, Nuada scoffed at the idea. "Remember your pride as a de Dannan. If Lugh could see you now from his seat in Elysium, he'd be ashamed." Nuada feinted then grabbed ahold of Cayden lifting him high above his head then dropping him over his knee.
Cayden coughed up blood as he slowly pushed himself up. "You're wrong, brother. Lugh would be proud. He, too, fought for humans in his time. When he helped drive out the Fomorians that plagued not only the Dannan, but the rest of the world as well."
Angered by this statement Nuada kicked Cayden flipping him onto his back. He stepped heavily on his chest. "You weak-hearted, narrow minded fool. If you love your humans so much, why don't you die like one...in the dirt of the mother earth." He lifted his foot high to crush Cayden's chest to give a final blow.
In the last moment Cayden caught the foot and pushed it away. He got to his feet this time resolve in his eyes. "Because brother, the humans need a hero to stand up to men like you. Blinded by your ideals of balance and nature to see their chance to do right in the world. Just like us they have the free will to decide, and I'm the one who is giving them a chance to do so." Drawing back with all his force he punched Nuada square in the chest sending him flying off the spire and into the ground. As the spire slowly receded back into the ground Cayden walked to his fallen brother who was slowly picking himself back. "You truly are the Slaine now."
"I will come back one day for my revenge Cayden. When that day comes...you will pay dearly for this insult." With that he got to his feet and crouched low. With all his godlike strength, he leaped high and away from the city of Epityr.
Cayden lacking all strength in his body attempted to do the same but instead was only able to make it a few steps before his body finally collapsed and hit the ground.
"Immortallus!" White fire called out as he sprinted to his side. "Man down, man down!"

Rising from the ground, Shroud seemed royally pissed off with the current situation. Newcomers to the city had almost gotten him killed once, and then a melee had broken out in the streets he'd sworn to protect. Now on top of that, missles were being launched at his home? "No, I'm ready to kill someone. Or quite a few someones at this point."

looking at Revnik, guard up, EX-37 states in a low voice: "Maybe we will have that talk someday, but I got things I got to deal with before I can look at my future. Looks like our fight is over anyway."

"Hey calm down man. It seems you're in the same boat as last time. Just take it easy and you can look into it after you rest." Eastern wind said trying to calm the situation down. "I'll take you to Matibay myself to look into it. He pulled out his communicator and attempted to show Shroud the communique from earlier. "White Fire and I stopped the missile and Nuada is gone. Aside from Revnik fighting Suit, the crisis has been averted."
*****************************************************************************
Revnik circled his foe. "Then for now I will take my leave." He said before cackling as he lifted off the ground slowly and flew away. "Heroes are a dying breed!!!..." His voice trailed off in the distance.

"Matibay, huh?" He knew he'd need a bit of time to rest before he could make that journey, but he wasn't about to go with this man he barely knew. "If you want to go ahead, I won't stop you." He then initiated his teleport home ability, since he actually had the energy to do it this time around.

EX-37 knew it was true; he had known for awhile now. He realized he needed another set of sources in order to take down the Ouroboros Foundation, which is why he slipped a message into Revnik's pocket during their 'fight'. Turning back to the scene he recalled that C'celus was with Immortallus earlier... "Where the fuck is C'celus? We can't leave him unattended! He will kill someone!" ***** C'celus circled the woman. You knocked out my watcher. Bad move; now you have no one to save you. You are one of those 'villains' right? As she opened her mouth to protest, he beheading her. Bagging the head, he would have a gift for the heroes he was trying to impress. "What better story than that I took vengeance for one of their own!" He promptly stabbed his unconscious watcher in the heart. He would later spin a tale telling how the witch stabbed him with a knife.

"I don't re...recall..." Cayden said weakly as he tried picking himself up off the ground. "He was in the ship last I checked." He flipped over and sat on his buttocks. "I...Eastern Wind find him with the ship and take him with you to Matibay. White Fire, Suit, and myself will wait for a new ship to arrive."
Eastern Wind stood up straight and nodded. "Got you Immortallus. He started heading for a way out of the city. Parcouring over the rubble, he quickly left the for the ship on the outskirts.

Suit sighed, using his first aid skills to do what he could for the short term injuries. The one called Shroud he looked around for as he worked.

"The young man is gone, Suit." He said wincing. "He's not ready for our ways, and we cannot force him to accept us as long as he follows his own just past." Most of his injuries were not life threatening but for a god to actually break a few ribs and other bones like he did it still hurt like hell. "Careful with that...I've not broken one of those in a hundred ninety years."

"Oh stop crying about it you baby. My second skin is almost completely impenetrable, and yet I get broken bones all the time! Just cause you haven't been broken in awhile... Jeez, Gods are such pansies!" EX-37 had joked like this with Cayden since they met. They had certain understandings, and a certain friendship. EX-37 was often found by Cayden's side not just because he was reliable, but laso because of they made good conversation.

Landing back in his home, Shroud quickly ate a meal and went to bed, focusing on regenerating his lost energy. He had to go to Matibay, that much was certain. And now that the satelite overhead was dropping heroes into his home, it wouldn't be undefended in his abscence.

On the outskirts of Epityr City, a single man on a motorcycle that had seen better days, were moving towards Matibay City at top speeds. The early morning permitted Shroud to move with ease on the roadways, barely another car between him and a few miles. He would probably arrive at Matibay in a few short hours at this rate. So much the better.
