A mild mannered day in the summer of Epityr City flowed from its depths. It would feel like most days, the birds chirping and the cars honking their horns. But unlike normal days, danger loomed around the corner.
An explosion rocked the city as the bank was taken control of by the Mad Dog and his gang. The teller was scared to death as mad dog hiked his leg up on the desk and growled at the woman with a grin. Right now there was nothing wrong with his appearance, but he had a slight mutation in his genes that would transform his face and body to that of an anthromorphic pit bull and gains the strength of ten men. "Hey lil lady, do me a favor and just put all of the money in the bag...and nothing bad will happen. My pups and I will leave you all behind and no one will die, and I wouldn't suggest calling the police cause they can't save you from me."

*Special Note: This entry is best read while this is listened to in the background www.youtube.com/watch?v=s6ngIL-6vno * Hearing the explosion from a few streets away, Alex Dakaar ran towards it as fast as his feet would carry him. The streets around the bank had already been vacated of any civilians that weren't already trapped inside with Mad Dog and his gang, and no police sirens were blaring yet. *Good. No witnessess out here.* Thinking this to himself, Alex ran towards the improvised entrance into the side of the bank, glad for the belching smoke that hid his approach. The sound of his shoes hitting pavement slowly became that of metal against pavement, giving away his approach to the first of Mad Dog's gang. Before he could even let out a scream to alert his allies, the guard dog was on the floor, a quickly forming bruise on his forehead from where a blunt force had struck him. "...My pups and I will leave you all behind and no one will die, and I wouldn't suggest calling the police cause they can't save you from me." The audio receptors picked that up just as a lone figure in orange and red armor stepped into the spotlight, a mere fifty feet behind Mad Dog. Speaking from behind a green visor that didn't permit anyone to see the man beneath, "Fortunately, they don't need to call them." Lifting up his right arm, what could only be described as a cannon fired of a few energy rounds at Mad Dog, blasting him away from the woman up front. In a flurry of motion, the 'pups' began to either open fire on the man, or move in to attack with grizzly melee weapons. The bullets did little to no damage, and in return, received an energy blast to the chest. The remaining pups turned away and ran, but only because they knew what was truly coming. Rushing the armored man from behind, Mad Dog knocked the man into a nearby pillar. Crashing against it, the man rolled away and returned fire in grand fashion, launching a missle from the cannon directly at Mad Dog's feet. The concussive force was enough to knock out the anthromorphic being, as well as the pups around him. Before the smoke could clear, the man in armor was gone without a trace. Two blocks away, Alex Dakaar was resting against a poorly maintained building, short of breath and sweating as though he'd run a marathon. "Damn... That took way more out of me than I'd thought."

"Well done, well done. I do say you made a mess out there today. Ay...Shroud?" Shrouds own arch-nemesis Revnik was there to spoil the fun. "And now look here I find you all out of energy and tuckered out. Oh what a delicious treat for me. Almost worth how much I paid Mad Dog for the distraction."

Going wide-eyed, Shroud jumped away from the wall and out into the street, a single pistol in hand and aimed at the source. "Distraction, huh? And don't think I'm so 'tuckered out' that I still can't take you down." In truth, it was taking all of Alex's power to keep even that pistol in one piece. Calling on the Chozo Armor earlier had taken more out of him than it should have.

"Hahahahahahaha, boy it will take a lot more than that to take me down. You know that better than anyone." His arm began to contort as a large metallic looking bone spike came from his palm. "Or should I remind you how much out of your league I am." The spike began to glow as the area around them began to heat up. With a single swipe the guns barrel was sliced in two.

Pulling his hand away swiftly, Shroud took another leap backward. "The only league that I'm out of is the one that thinks slime is an improvement over sludge." Unfortunately, there wasn't much else that he could do. He'd exhausted a great deal of energy on Mad Dog, by calling on a more advanced form than he'd needed.

"Your reactions would say otherwise, boy." Revnik walked closer to him, his bone blade raising to Shroud. The tension was hot and the shit was about to hit the fan.
"You know don't think it rude, but pulling out a large hot boner on someone is kinda sick." A korean guy in a black masquerade eye cover, No-dachi drawn, stood on a dumpster smiling. "Tell you what...put that away and I won't call the police for your indecent exposure." He leaped from the dumpster in a front flip giving Revnik only seconds to block the oncoming blade. Sparks and flames flowed of the demonic blade.
"What is this...how can your blade stand against my bone sword?" The shock on his face was visible as the event happened.
"Name's Eastern Wind, pops, and I'm here to save this guy. Hope ya don't mind."

As the two blades colided with one another, Shroud was quick to seize the opprotunity, putting the last of his usable energy into a solid kick that could potentially knock Revnik a good distance away. Hopefully long enough for Shroud to get to somewhere safe and recooperate.

After a few seconds it was obvious to see that sword to sword Revnik was at a disadvantage and that Eastern Wind was advanced beyond his years with the sword. "Hey you in the shroud...any help you can give would be fun." As Eastern Wind darted around the alley keeping Revnik busy.
"Oh enough with this." Revnik swept his free hand along the ground throwing multiple little spikes that began heating up and then suddenly exploded sending Eastern Wind Backwards past Shroud.

"Yeah, cause asking for help from the guy that has no energy left to spend sure will be a good thing to do." By this point, Shroud was talking to himself, Eastern Wind already flying back and away from him. The only kind of power he had left would be to put himself into a bed for a week to recover, but desperate times. "Alright Revnik, you just pulled the last straw!"
Summoning up energy from as deeply as possible, Shroud took on a bright aura that caused even his black cloak to seem white. Feet leaving the ground, Shroud flew through the air, straight towards his nemesis, and delivered a punch that would shatter the bones of any other living being.

Eastern Wind stuck his sword in the ground to regain control of his flying body. Feet planting on the ground he grinned watching the guy fly. "This could be interesting."
Revnik first hit a dumpster then a fire escape as he began flying off into the distance, "I'll get you next tiiiiiiimmmmmee...." With that he was gone.
"Nice shot, but I was joking about the whole help thing." Eastern Wind jested as he stood up. "After all how much trouble can one villain be?" He twirled the no-dachi around and sheathed it behind his back.

Falling to one knee, Shroud was barely able to utter, "You'd be... surprised..." With a sudden thud, Shroud was on the ground, completely out cold. Erratic pulse, shallow breathing, it was as though he were right at Death's door.

"Shit he's going catatonic." Whipping out a communicator. "This is Eastern Wind, I need an emergency med evac to the Feachatur. Hang on pal...you're gonna be fine." In the next thirty minutes a small ship was dropped in and picked them up and Shroud was in a medical bed getting treatment.
A blond woman was watching over all the instruments, but instead of a white lab coat or scrubs she was wearing what seemed like silver spandex.

As Eastern Wind had thought, Shroud was catatonic. There wasn't any chance he'd wake up from it untill his body was able to function normally again. Doctors, medicine, even ancient rituals wouldn't be able to accelerate the process. It was all up to his own body to regenerate on its own.

"Hey Lunar...contact me when the guy finally wakes up okay?" He said looking over Shroud's bed. "I have a feeling its a bit my fault for this."
"Don't worry. We have all the man needs to live...all we can do is wait Eastern Wind, but on that note...I need you to finish the assignment on your own this time since I'll be looking after him."
