Holt Matherson stood on of the balcony of his penthouse apartment and gazed at the view of his city. He was happy. His public opinion was up, crime was down, and there were not Supers active in Matibay City. It was the perfect time to begin his plan to cause the down fall of Supers everywhere and he domination of the world.
"Johnson, prepare the missiles," Holt ordered as he stepped from the balcony, sat at his grand piano and began to play Beethoven's 5th. "With this I will declare war on the Supers. Though I suppose a declaration should be signed, oh well. Johnson, fire!" With that order given a underground facility 100 miles south of Matibay fired two missiles one towards Epityr City, the other, which contained not explosives but a message, towards a curtain satellite. A message asking the Supers of the world to stand down from their roles as 'protectors' or the Earth shall meet the same fate as Epityr.

Johnson walked into the room wearily. He wasn't too sure how his employer would take his news but he hoped the mayor was in a good mood. "M-Mr. Matherson, sir," he stuttered out, as he always does when he gets nervous. "The missile head for Epityr City exploded prematurely."
Holt looked up from the book he had been reading and smiled. "I see," Holt closed his book and stood up, making his way to his liqueur cabinet. "I was to be expected, especially with the battle that is going on there. What is important is that they got my message. With this, my plan is going perfectly."

The mayor of Matibay City was seething he was just informed that the Super he hates most of all, White Fire, was one of the ones that stopped his missile. Even the good news he had recently received, that one of the four treasures of the Tuatha Dé Danann, the Cauldron of Dagda, was found and acquired couldn't truly calm him. Though it gave him enough control to keep himself from snapping. "Johnson! Send out a message on all channels and make sure it cannot be traced buy any means, not even that blasted satellite! Make it say this: The Cauldron is mine and the Crown will be too! And put it in the old tongue!"

The Eastern Wind sat at the controls of the transport C'celus at his side in the copilot's seat. "So what's in the knapsack of yours?" He said on their way to the city of Matibay. The lights flickered on and off in the cockpit as they zoomed over the horizon.

"The head of the Villain who killed my watcher," C'celus said nonchalantly.

Eastern Wind gave a look of horror. "Dude...not cool. Throw that shit out of here. We don't do that sorta thing here on earth. That is what the courts are for." He was a bit shook up by the man's nonchalant killing. Taking him back to the blood he had on his hands, he shook his head slowly.

Stopping just a few miles outside of Matibay City, Shroud was quietly looking for a small location to make a base of operations. His teleportation abilities were helpful, but they all required two things. Somewhere familiar to him to teleport to, and a lot of energy. So the best thing he could do was hollow out enough of a hill or fashion an underground bunker of sorts. Finding a suitable spot, Shroud used a small bit of power to break into a hill, making a small enough area that he could teleport in without incident, and get out and back to work. With a base established, Shroud set out for the city on foot, leaving his motorcycle inside the base for the time being.

"Mr. Mayor," Johnson hurried into Holt's office, nervous about the news he was about to deliver. "We have reports of Supers on their way here."
Holt, who had just been enjoying a fine lobster dinner, Slowly looked up. "Really, is it someone I should know?"
"The Supers could not be identified. But we know they are in a Sraith Transport. Also there are reports of a Super setting up a base of operations outside of town. We could not identify him either, but we think he is walking into town as there was a motorcycle left at the base."
"Leave the base alone for now. But send in a small group of low-level thugs to test this Super. We may be able to use him. Your dismissed."
"Right away, Sir," Johnson answered as he left the the office to give the order. Minutes later a small group of 5 left an unmarked building after a Super walking to town.

"No man...that's grotesquely out of date here. You don't have to kill someone to prove you're stronger or more honorable than someone else." He shook his head slowly. "No more killing anymore. You're gonna set a bad precedent and no one will trust you."

Shroud sooner heard his enemies coming than saw them. "Great. So they must know I'm here. And here I was hoping for an easy trip." Going on the assumption that his enemy didn't know the full extent of his powers, Shroud began citing a list of abilities to choose from that didn't reveal too much about himself. Settling on sticking to the defensive for now though, Shroud dove behind cover, wanting to get his eyes on his opponents first.

There wasn't anything particularly special about the 5 men, just your average, everyday, thugs armed with military-grade firearms. As they walked towards Shroud one of them saw him duck behind cover and took from his pocket a M67 grenade and threw it toward Shroud. Upon inspection one would see that they weren't that organized, nor were they that smart as another member started running at Shroud after his friend threw the grenade.

"As you wish," said C'celus, vanishing for a few moments before reappearing with windswept hair. The sack was now empty.

As the grenade landed nearby, Shroud could only look up at the charging enemies and inwardly groaned. All of this done in the span of a second, he quickly grabbed the grenade and tossed it into the oncoming wave. If he didn't have to use any of his real powers on these men, then it meant that this whole situation would be over in no time flat, or this was simply weeding out the weakest of the batch of enemies that remained ahead.

The ship came to a slowing halt as, Eastern Wind brought it to an empty roof top on a sky scraper. "We get out here." He said unbuckling his seat belt and still shaking his head about the decapitation. "I will have to send the ship back to the Feachatur until we are ready to leave." He picked up his nodachi from the back and headed to the loading platform.
