The layout was set up so that the ballroom dance floor was surrounded by tables and a second floor was overlooking the dance floor. The life of the party seemed to be missing. There were a few people dancing in the ball area, but most of the action was actually happening at the dinner tables. Business plans being arranged, deals being struck, careers and futures being put on the line... "And some damn good cuisine, Uncle." EX-37 laughed. He was enjoying himself, though they had to pick a corner where they wouldn't be looked at so much; EX-37 had unnatural eyes after all. He had this strange feeling throbbing in his skull since they had gotten there, but he didn't let it bother him. He scanned the crowd carefully, pretending that he was reacting to his 'uncle' Cayden's grand gesture and jolly story. The wind was knocked from him when he accidentally met gaze with a woman on the other side of the ballroom floor. He gripped the table he was sitting at. It started to creak...
"Yes, yes, my boy, but you shouldn't eat so much or you're gonna keep getting those heart burns." Cayden said patting Ex on the back as to cover for the strange action. Turning to the random banker at the table with them. "You'll have to forgive him ever since he was a wee lad he couldn't stomach much more than the haggis his mum made 'em. Where was I...oh yes...so there my nephew and I were in the western isles with the so called ancient Gaelic expert from the United States, and as he's reading an old Celtic inscription in I want to say Irish, I interrupt him and respond. 'I don't think the Celts would call a healing spring a laundromat.' A laundromat was the word he used. Needless to say he turned red and walked away. A shame though 'cause it was one of the last few springs left in the area." He said with a hearty smile. "Oh did I tell you of the Celtic legend of the man who beat a dragon to death with his own femur. Quite funny, to say the least..." Cayden said as he rambled on and scoured the room for the source of Ex's sudden reaction.

Almost completely inaudible EX-37 breathed out: "I-I think I need to go to the rest room..." He made his way to the male restroom, washing his face with water. The woman, she wasn't there when he got up to use the rest room... She's fast...

(for the purpose of being understood Cayden and Morrigan are speaking an ancient form of Gaelic when the words are italicized)
Cayden nodded and looked around the room and noticed an old friend, so to speak. "While my nephew is away, I need to go do something." He walked up to a woman dressed in black and held out his hand and spoke to her in an ancient tongue. "May I?"
She smiled and took it as he lead her to the center of the room. "Well it certainly has been a long time, Caydenous." She said falling into his arms as they danced.
"It certainly has, Morrigan. It's a shame we were so close those many years ago." He smiled gently as the memories flashed through his mind. "Who are you chasing after these days."
She sighed gently. "Caydenous, you know me too well. I can't tell you though, I've almost found the right guy I think." She said looking away from his eyes. "And don't make this all about me big boy. One of the last Sidhe on this planet and you're making such a big name for yourself, Immortallus."
He chuckled. "How did you know it was me?"
"Come on, Caydenous. I'd recognize your eyes from anywhere, let alone your physique. Only a god as beautiful as you could be so perfect." She smiled briefly looking up into his eyes. "I wish I wasn't so blind then to see you were always there."
"I still am, Morrigan. I'm here now just as I was when my half brother Cuchulain scorned your love, and when the Firbolgs killed him and you still mourned his death." He said bringing her closer to his body. Her body felt warm next to his and the two met gazes in locked fixation. "Morrigan, it's not to late, it's never too late."
"For us it is, Caydenous...forgive me..." She said looking away as tears came to her eyes. A look of surprise came to her face as Cayden brought her close to his chest. "I can't take you away from the thousands of lives that need you, Caydenous...Not with your brother loose."
"You don't have to justify it, Morrigan. Just live your life in happiness, that's all I ever wished for you..." He said with those last words as he let her go and walked towards the restroom leaving her in the middle of the dance floor alone. "Ex...you in here?"

He looked up in the mirror, water still dripping off his face when he realized the woman was behind him. "You must be EX-37, or would you prefer Suit?" Tendrils that were all too familiar wrapped around her body, as she kicked him in the back of the head, smashing his face into the mirror, shattering it. His second skin formed, and wings shot out of his back knocking her through the nearest stall. "Fucking Bitch, that hurt! Sure know how to treat a man, huh?" the wings retracted quickly. "Ex... You in there?" Cayden walked in just as the woman shot out of the stall, slamming into EX-37 and taking them both through the wall. gravity almost seemed to vanish as they ended up going in an upward motion, the ceiling giving way like glass, despite being of significantly more durable substance.

"Shit...Never had good taste in women did ya." Cayden dashed into the hall and pulled the fire alarm. "Better not get anyone else in danger." Cayden went back into the bathroom and slipped off his tux and put on his trusty kilt. "Time to get back to work."

Dragged high into the sky the woman kicked EX-37 away. growing wings he stayed air-borne, but the woman wasn't finished, her arm became a series of massive, tenticles the smashed EX-37 out of the air and into the roof of the building. She walked up to him as he got up. "Damn, stronger than I am... You go to the gym often?" "Shut up and die." "Can I get your name first?" EX-37 said this even as she punched him, sending him flying off the building and into the next. "It's Rose."

Cayden watched as the ball guest ran away then he leapt to the floor above him through the hole Ex and his girl created. "Looks like they went farther than expected."

EX-37 was on the move the second he was out of her sight. His claws were out and ready. If she was like him, then most guns would have little effect beyond bruising her. Though a well placed slug to the side of the head could snap her neck, he didn't bring any high-caliber guns with him; he never thought they'd have a powerful agent out to this kind of event. Rose jumped through the hole that she had made using EX-37. Landing and rolling she looked around for her enemy, but could not see him. EX-37 burst from behind her stabbing his hands at her, hoping it would work. he did tackle her to the ground, but beyond that, had no success piercing her suit.

By the time Cayden had made it to the roof Ex was already gone. "Holy shite that man can move." He looked around for which way they went.

Rose was faster than EX-37, and stronger too. However, she lacked the variable capability that EX-37 had. EX-37 realized this when she did not grow wings as he went into flight. Rose ran up the wall and launched herself from that point towards EX-37, who dodged out of the way of her only to be caught by one of her powerful tentacles and thrust into the ground. She was on him instantly and began punching him rapidly as he stuck her with his claws repeatedly. he quickly realized his efforts would be in vain soon if he didn't do something different in the next couple of moments. Then it happened. She gripped her head and her suit form retracted into her body. She stumbled back off of him. "Wait a minute... Your not like me at all, are you?" "You and your Suit are one and the same. Me and my Suit are separate and simply use each other symbiotically," responded Rose, as she tried to resume a defensive position. "But you can't stay in the Suit-form indefinitely." "True, but I also don't have a genetic flaw like you do." "What?" asked EX-37 even as the gunshot resounded. He looked down, not understanding what was happening, to see blood leaking from his chest. His second skin, the Suit-form, had not stopped the bullet. "Ruby Bullet. Your insides should start burning up soon." EX-37's second skin retracted into his body even as Rose walked up to him, jammed a needle into his body, drained some blood and quickly walked away. Still in shock he had no idea what to do. "I think I love that woman..." EX-37 then dropped to his knees and began coughing up blood before the world around him began to spin. Colors seemed to change quickly and then the world began fading. He tried calling out for Cayden, but his tongue felt too swollen to speakand there was blood in his throat.

"Ah over there." Taking a few steps back, Cayden ran to the edge of the roof and leapt through the large hole of a near by building. Landing inside of the building and skidding to a halt he called out for his friend. "Suit, are you in here?" He began running around the rubble of the inside and found him lying on the ground with blood around him. "Shit...hold on my friend." He put a distress beacon out on his communicator and within ten minutes they were on a evac transport heading for the satellite.
Suit lied on a medical bed on the transport an IV hooked up and monitors whirring around displaying his vitals. "Hang in there Ex...you're gonna be okay."

EX-37's life began flashing before his eyes. all of his deeds, all of his actions, all of his training, his childhood, every hit, murder, and assassination he had ever committed. Every memory he had ever experienced was refreshed and recounted to him in painful detail, only for a new wave of memories to hit. But, these were not his memories, rather, they were the memories of everyone the Suit Symbiote had consumed for their unworthiness. So many memories swelled inside of him and he was lost in the see of lives and experiences. Then there was a new set of memories. Not human at all, but rather the Suit Symbiote's own memories, as well as those of its ancestors, all the way to the very first Suit Symbiote. They were alien, or would be to any normal human; EX-37 was not a normal human...

Cayden was watching over Ex's emergency procedures aboard the satellite. "Get that IV refilled. You, get the bullet out of him now, and you, prep to clean the wound and stop the bleeding." Cayden was busy busting around the room as the bullet was extracted and the would cleaned up.

No sooner had the bullet been removed that his second skin tendils wrapped around his body. but they did more than put him in his Suit form; they continued wrapping until a shape resembling a cacoon or a coffin was rendered. A strange black liquid began seeping through and then hardening, forming a shell around the coffin-like form. For EX-37, however, this was an experience that felt somehow natural. and his mind finally calm, he could review all the memories, but even so, he found his own identity seemed muddled with so many within him.

"HOLY MOTHER OF THE GODDESS EPONA!" Cayden explained looking at spectacle before him. "What the fuck is this?" He asked looking to the superhero doctor.
"Well all his vitals have finally stable, and it seems that he has gone into a stasis similar to that of a butterfly. We will have to continue monitoring him for a while to make sure he will be okay."
"Oh...okay..." Cayden sighed and looked over Ex one more time. "You better come back man. The Sraith won't be the same without you."
